I’m going to apologize off the bat for my voice in this Substack. I have allergies and my voice is gravelly. My tone sounds a little severe, but I am focusing so hard to get the information correct that I sound like the substitute schoolteacher that I was for a couple of years recently. My two sons, as well as my students, would not be surprised at all. LOL With that said, I really hope this Substack helps explain our Constitutional system by which we elect the head of the Executive Branch of the federal government of the United States.

This is a quick rundown of the electoral college process of choosing the President and Vice President. I briefly attempt to touch on the electoral college and the Constitutional process from beginning to end in which we are all fully engaged right now.
Clarification: the second timeline for the electoral college meeting in December in this audio Substack is correct. The date of that election event is set by federal law as the first Tuesday after the second Wednesday of December.
